Project STEP (String Training Education Program)

As the Communications Coordinator for Project STEP, I revitalized communication strategies for the music-education nonprofit and securing increased visibility for STEP’s programs through a website redesign and CRM update, a regular newsletter, & revamped a social media presence. I also took part in content creation, strategy, & in-house video production for grant applications, one of which led to STEP’s win of the prestigious National Arts & Humanities Youth Program Award & performances at the White House. Along the way, I took photos.

I hope this selection gives a glimpse of the community of young artists, families, and educators I worked with. From rehearsal to performance, masterclasses, group lessons, and one-on-ones, everyone there loved music and strove to pass that love on. My time at Project STEP was an education in classical music, arts administration, education, and passion for an art form.
