Hi, I’m Lucy.
I’m a storyteller and artist advocate.
I’ve worked as a cultural producer, an arts administrator, and a communications professional. I’m also an artist: a photographer, a writer, and a theatre director. What unites all of my work is my belief that we all deserve a strong and vibrant arts and culture sector, artists deserve to have sustainable careers, and beauty makes us better.

My Approach
I’m a storyteller—a writer and a photographer—and I spent years as a freelance theatre artist, directing and producing productions. This primed me to think in both words and images, and means I can translate complex ideas into narratives that make an impact.
Strategic Communications
Good communications work is as informed by listening as it is by shaping narrative. My approach is process-oriented, led by data, and centers its audience and the communities each organization serves.
Written & Visual Storytelling
I’m a writer, but I also bring an eye for visuals. Whether its editorial or publications work, photography, graphic design, or multimedia producing, I bring a two-pronged approach to all of my work, because stories are experienced in different ways by different audiences.
Communications Work
I’ve done communications work for mission-driven organizations—nonprofits, foundations, and labor organizations—and individual artists, highlighting arts and culture, housing, and labor issues. You can find some of my favorite projects selected here.
