Preparing Homeowners for Inland Flooding

A flood insurance toolkit for NYC homeowners, designed and distributed for FloodHelpNY, a project of The Center for NYC Neighborhoods.

Goal: Educate homeowners about what they can do to prepare for and mitigate the rising risk of stormwater flooding.

Role: Project manager and designer

  • Content and graphic design

  • Community outreach

  • Translation coordination

  • Targeted print distribution coordination

Audience: NYC homeowners in areas with a history of inland flooding.

Impact: Initial printing of 10,000 copies distributed to targeted community partners and 30 library branches in high-risk stormwater flooding areas across all five boroughs.
